Description:

Request a Grant Writer

Opportunity for USA, Canada, and International museum professionals, artists, writers, and curators to participate in a week-long program exploring art and culture in Israel. The program is designed to bring together members of the international art community to inquire and learn about cultural developments in Israel, and to further inspire new initiatives and projects.

Since 2007, Artis has hosted hundreds of curators, museum professionals, and writers from around the world on group and independent Curatorial Seminars in Israel. This program facilitates the exploration of cultural developments in Israel and provides a platform for inquiry, projects, and initiatives to emerge. The week-long intensive itinerary includes visits to museums, alternative spaces, collections, and studios and discussions with leading artists, curators, historians and influential thinkers.

Ideal candidates are critical thinkers, well-versed in contemporary art internationally and in their own communities, and interested in engaging thoughtfully in conversations and inquiries into a variety of related topics.

For the duration of the week-long program, Artis organizes and funds hotel accommodations, two group meals per day (lunch and dinner; breakfast is included at the hotel), and travel within Israel as per the itinerary.

Artis has a small annual budget to reimburse participants who cannot afford to cover the full cost of airfare. This budget is primarily dedicated to supporting independent curators or writers who do not have institutional travel budgets.
